There are several surveys that determine the best place to retire. Probably the two most notable come from AARP and CNN Money. I have most of the “winners” listed below. I am in the process of building a relevant blogroll with links to local blog sites in those locations. You can find the blogroll further down on the right side of this screen. My intention is to build a substantial resource list for anyone who is thinking about their retirement home. My criteria for site selection is that the site needs to be useful, have local stories, pictures, real estate and links to other local resources.

Well, if you’re thinking of a good place to retire to, why not consider the Philippines. For starters, your pension money will surely go a long way here: you can have a 4br house&lot property for $60,000; and for just $200/month you can have your own maid and driver. (2) The people here are friendly, friendly, friendly. (3) we have topnotch medical facilities and personnel in this country. (4) there are plenty of beaches to go to, etc., etc. (5) our people and culture is very accessible since English is our second language and we are very westernized and we have adopted American pop culture as our own.
So why not live your retirement days in relative ease and luxury. You can only have that in the Philippines.
