IRS Retirement Forms and Worksheets

I have pulled together a series of links to important but separate IRS documents because I thought it would be good to have the information in one place.

Traditional IRA

Publication 590 is the core document. The following links drill down inside 590 to the relevant information:

Early withdrawal penalty - applies before age 59 1/2

Minimum withdrawal rules - starts at age 70 1/2

Tables for calculating minimum withdrawal amounts - you will need to scroll down.

Rolling Over your 401K into a Traditional IRA. Usually done when leaving a job or retiring. This is easy to do.

Social Security

Publication 915 is the core document. The following links drill down inside 915 to the relevant information:

Publication 915, Social Security and Equivalent Railroad Retirement Benefits

Is any of your Social Security benefit taxable? A quick check.

If some is taxable, how much? Worksheet examples.

To see previous posts on these topics go here, here and here. (This is worthwhile reading.)
