It has only been relatively recently that women have made decisions about buying a car. Even the once rare sight of seeing a woman drive has been replaced with the common place sight of women at the wheel in all sorts of vehicles for work as well as for pleasure. Here are some interesting facts: Overall percentage of female drivers is rising, while overall percentage of male drivers is decreasing 80%of American women over age 65 operate an automobile 52.2 percent of all new vehicle purchases are made by women — up from 20% in 1984 and 40% in 1989.
